Thanksgiving!!

Well we had a great thanksgiving hanging out with Greg's family. Greg unfornutenly had to work so it was just me and Sean but we had alot of fun spending time with Greg's parents and his sister and his brother and his wife. We all ate alot of food and played some games. Sean's favorite game was playing peek a boo with Greg's brother. The day after Thanksgiving around 9am me and Sean went with Grandma and Grandpa Mcclellan to the mall to do some after Thanksgiving shopping. Suprisely I bought alot of stuff and got alot of good deals. After about three hours we were all done with shopping so we took off and all ate great leftover turkey and then took naps. That is my kind of holiday. On Saturday Greg came up and hung out with all of us. We all got together again to celebrate Grandpa Scott's birthday. Sean loved the birthday cake. We cant wait for Christmas, we are counting down the days to Christmas.

Big Boy Bed

So Sean has officially moved into his big boy bed. We got him a twin size bed a month ago and have been slowly been introducing the new bed to him. So the week before thanksgiving Sean starting sleeping in the big boy bed. Well I made the mistake of letting him fall asleep in the big boy bed thinking he would stay there, well an hour after him falling asleep I heard a big thump in Sean's room and then him crying. So apparently you need those side rails for the big bed until they figure out how to stay in the bed. So I was a good mom and bought some side rails for his big boy bed. So now he has learned to take naps and sleep all night in his bed. The first week or two was hard because he would wake up at 1am and come into our room saying mama and looking for us thinking it was time to wake up. We are liking the new bed as long as he stays there all night. I am so impressed that he took to the big boy bed so fast.

Loves Sugar!!

So I have discovered over this Halloween that my little boy Sean is just like his mom and loves sugar, any type of sugar. He loves candy (chocolate or not), cookies, and cake. Anything sweet he will eat it. So we decided to make Halloween cookies and as you can see Sean had a blast. But the best part was putting the sprinkles on and then eating them all off. I cant believe how big he is now. I love Sean to death.

Pumpkin Carving

Today was so much fun. Me and Greg were both home so we all got to hang out and spend time together. So since it was a cloudy day we decided it would be a good time to carve some pumpkins. I thought Sean would help for a moment then run away and do his own thing. Well as you can see from the pictures he really enjoyed pulling all that yucky stuff out of the pumpkin. He was amazed that more and more kept coming out. At one point he tried throwing the stuff so that's when I knew it was time for me and Greg to take over. So me and Greg used are creativity to make three cute pumpkins for the whole family. I was very impressed by my pumpkin carving skills. I usually do a really bad job. So when it got dark we lite up the pumpkins and sat outside and let Sean just admire how that orange pumpkin was glowing. To make the night even better we finished it off with smores, cant ask for more than that.

Trunk or Treat

Well it was an early halloween for us this weekend. We went to the ward trunk or treat with I thought was alot of fun but sort of different. So what happens at the trunk or treat in case you dont know. People from the ward show up in their costumes and then park their cars in the parking lot where everyone proceeds to decorate their trunks. Then we all take turns going to each trunk and trick or treating for candy. Also of course we have a big chili cook off. What would a ward party be without food. So as you can see Sean was a Monkey and a darn cute one too. The costume fit him perfect with his huge cheecks and all. Me and Greg were boring this year and didn't dress up. But as you can see alot of other people did dress up and we loved their costumes. Sean was also loving that all his little friends were there to go trunk or treating with him. The best part about the whole night was that Sean kept trying to eating the wrapper of the candy he wasn't patient enough to let me take the wrapper off first. So this means any candy we have will have to be well hid.

San Diego Zoo

So on Monday Sean and I had the opprunity to go to the Zoo with my friend Mindy and two little kids (Case and Cameron). It was so much fun. Now that Sean is older and understands that they are animals and even knows the noises that some of them make, it made it so fun to watch him and his friend Case point and laughing at all the animals. The boys were great and even stayed in their strollers. Towards the end of the day the park got really crowded because it was free day at the zoo. So we all got stuck in a walking jam on the sidewalk at the zoo and everyone was trying to push and jump in front and no one would take turns. It felt like I was driving on the freeway. As you can see Sean was trying to tap on the window and talk to the monkeys, but they kept running away. Its fun to see how much Sean has changed since last year when we took him to the Zoo.
