Imagination !!

So in the last couple of weeks it is amazing how much Sean has changed. On one end he is alot more stubborn and throws fits no matter what I try to tell him, his new favorite word is "NO" and man does he use it all the time. I guess this is God's way of teaching me patience. On the other end his imagination is amazing. He's new favorite thing is to take either his stuffed puppy or bear everywhere he goes. He will take them on a bike ride or in the car, going to bed, and he even likes to feed them. It is so cute, they are his new little friends and he has so much fun with them. Also he has learned how to admire himself, he loves to look at pictures of him and also to look at himself in the mirror. The other day I caught him looking through his baby album and getting so excited everytime he saw a picture of himself. On the sadder side he is starting to realize when we are gone. It notices it more when Greg is gone cause Greg is gone for two to three days straight. He'll go to the door saying Da Da Da, and when I try to explain that he is at work he gets really sad or upset. Someday hopefully Sean will understand. Sean has learned how to say "I love you" it is so cute. He mainly says it when he's talking to Greg on the phone while Gregs at work, but it just melts my heart. Kids are amazing.

FISHES

So it has been raining the last week here in California and man I never realized how stir crazy Sean gets when he doesn't get to go outside at least for a little while everyday. (He reminds me of myself) So me and Greg decided that he was finally old enough to go to the Pacific Coast aquarium. So on Saturday we packed up and took off to Long Beach to go to the aquarium. I was a little worried that Sean might not fully enjoy this, but man was I wrong. He was in heaven. Every five seconds out of his mouth would be "fishes, fishes" as he would run from one fish display to another display. He was in fish heaven. They even had an aquarium full of Nemo fishes and Dory fishes. I think he stood there for about five minutes just jumping up and down and running around trying to say Nemo. But I think his favorite part of the whole day was when he got to go outside and put his hand in a pond of water that had sharks and other fishes swimming around that he could touch. He loved it, he kept trying to grab the fishes, so we had to keep a close eye on him to make sure he just petted the fish. They also had a fun boat and fish that the kids could play on and climb on, the fish even squirrted water out. I was defiently tired by the end, but I can't wait to go back with him again.

Playing in the Rain

So this last week it has been raining like crazy and Sean has been locked up in the house trying to avoid getting sick. Well finally the other day Sean got so sick of being in the house me and greg decided to bundle him up and let him go out and play in the rain. It was the funniest thing to watch. He loved it. At first he rode his tricycle (or "bike" as he calls it) around in the puddles loving that the water splashed all over him. Next he decided to run through the puddles and splash the water everywhere. One time as he was running through the puddle he tripped and fell face first into the puddle. He didn't even cry or whine he got up laughing and continue to run threw the water. Given by the end of this outing he was soaked head to toe and grinning as wide as he could. It so fun to see how innocent children are and how the enjoy everything.

Its a Girl!!

Well for those we haven't been able to get a hold of yet, I want you all to know that we just found out that we are having a baby girl. I had a gut feeling that was what we were having, but I was in denial. So when the Ultrasound tech told us that it was a baby girl I was excited but really nervous at the same time. The thought kept running through my head I dont know what to do with a girl. Now that I have had some time to fully digest it all I am really excited and can't wait for our baby girl to arrive. Sean still has no idea that he will have a new baby girl coming into his life. So anyone has cute baby girl clothes they want to loan out let me know.

Working on the house

So on New Year's day we went up to Greg's parents house to finally have Christmas with them and open all the gifts from them and share our gifts with them. Well while we were there Sean thought it would be the perfect time to try and be just like grandpa. It all started out with him taking grandpa's glasses and trying to wear them. Then he proceeded to go outside with grandpa and dad to help take down the lights. At first he was just watching and loving life and then he decided that he needed to be a big boy and help grandpa out. So little to mom's knowledge Sean proceeds to climb up to the top of the ladder all by himself and then climb back down. He was so proud of himself. Sean has become quit the climber lately. On top of climbing up the latter he also figured out how to climb out of his crib and climb up the ladder at the playground. So a whole new challenge for me, I can't use the crib for time out anymore.

Loving the Snow

So when we first got to Idaho Sean did not know what to think of the snow and didn't really want to play in it. Well after about four days Sean decided that the snow and playing outside was the best thing in the world. Everyday he would wake up and go look for the cat. Play with cat for about thirty minutes and then quickly eat and then head for the door trying to get out and pointing at the door crying because he wanted to play outside. He loved the snow so much he would go out and play all by himself. I think his favorite part besides following the dog around was working, by either shoveling snow, feeding the animals, or working on the tractor. Also by the fourth day he decided that he really liked riding the snowmobile even though he had to wear three hundred layers. One day him and Kyler were playing outside in the snow pushing a big dump truck around in the snow. I was amazed how fast Sean got use to the cold. I was there for two weeks and still could not get use to the cold. It just goes to show that Sean is a great little boy who just loves to learn and do new things.

Christmas Day !!

A tradition of the Archibald's is that we all get together Christmas Eve and eat alot of good food, mingle, and then of course read or perform the story of Jesus birth. Well this year we decided to read the story due to the fact that we really only had three little kids to perform Jesus birth and none of us adults were about to perform. We had alot of fun and enjoyed spending time with all the family. Sean on the other hand ended up getting sick that night and throwing up all over me and the bed. Poor kid we were trying so hard to get him to eat all night and come to find out his stomach was hurting him. I wish he could tell us these things. Christmas day was so much fun. I loved watching Sean getting all excited about opening gifts and then of course playing with all his new gifts. He loved opening the presents the most. We also had an early Christmas right before we left for Idaho so Sean got three Christmas this year because did another Christmas after we got back with Greg's family. Sean was loving life. I really enjoyed dragging it out too. After opening gifts we all went over to Brad and Sherry's to have breakfast and enjoy each others company. We also got to talk to Brandon (my cousin who's on a mission in Brazil) and find out how he was doing. Sean of course spent all his time up in Garrett's room playing with all the John Deer tractors and loving life, he was so sad when the day finally ended. He just wanted to play all day. He even wanted to play in the snow. I think he's really start to like the snow. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We missed everyone.
